ROBERT TIZIANI Chief Executive Officer
With experience in all phases of advertising creative account services and media, plus a technical background, Bob joined with Bob Leary to form their new agency in June 1991. He previously was vice president in charge of account service at T.J. Clark Advertising.
There Bob managed accounts such as The Foxboro Company, Modicon AEG, General DataComm, Uniroyal Chemical, and Setra Systems. He also served as an account supervisor in the business-to-business group at Kenyon & Eckhardt, handling accounts such as Gould Industrial Automation, FerroFluidics, and Eikonix/Kodak. Bob was an account supervisor and group manager at Chafee Bedard and media director at Stauch Vetromile. He also worked as advertising manager at Green Mountain Power Corporation.
An Air Force trained medical laboratory technician, Bob received a bachelor's degree in literature from Eastern Connecticut State University and a master of science degree in communications from Syracuse University's Newhouse School.
RICK WHITMYRE President
Rick joined Tiziani Whitmyre from Invensys plc where he was vice president, communications & e-commerce for the corporation's Software Systems Division. His responsibilities included marketing communications and branding, employee communications, e-commerce, and public affairs for the division's businesses (Foxboro, Wonderware, Baan, APV Systems, Simulation Sciences, and Triconex). Prior to joining Invensys, Rick was director, communications, for Lukens Inc., a NYSE-listed specialty steel producer. He also held senior positions at United Technologies Corporation (UTC) - serving as director of communications at Pratt & Whitney, senior director of communications at Carrier Corporation, and director of media relations at UTC's corporate headquarters.
Rick holds a bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Colorado. He has served as chairman of the National Association of Manufacturers' Communications Advisory Council and has been recognized with the ProComm award from the Business Marketing Association, Gold and Silver Quill awards from the International Association of Business Communicators, and Best Industry Annual Report awards from Financial World and the National Association of Investment Clubs.
DON GONCALVES Senior Vice President
A member of the senior leadership team at TW, Don Goncalves joined the agency with two decades of B2B and technology public relations experience. At TW, he is responsible for providing clients with senior counsel and account management across all integrated marketing communications services, including public relations.
Previously, Goncalves was a vice president with SHIFT Communications and with Sterling Hager, Inc. He was the director of public and investor relations for Furniture.com, and the public relations director at The Donovan Group. He also led Creamer Dickson Basford's Boston office and its national technology PR practice, was a public information official with the State of Connecticut, and has broadcast and print news media experience.
Goncalves has a master's in business administration from Connecticut State University, and holds an APR designation from the Public Relations Society of America.
FRED MARTINS Vice President, Creative Director
Fred oversees the advertising, collateral, interactive marketing, and corporate identity teams, and brings over 25 years of art direction experience to Tiziani Whitmyre.
He joined us from Rainier Corporation, Boston and London, where he served as creative director and a member of the executive management team. Fred also functioned as partner and creative director at BBL Advertising, Boston, where he developed integrated marketing systems for Fairchild Semiconductor, Chrysalis Software, White Electronics, and PictureTel.
Prior to joining BBL Advertising, he was a co-founder and creative director at Harpell Martins & Company, Maynard, Mass. His clients included The Monster Board, Cognos, Parametic Technologies, Progress Software, PictureTel, AspenTech, 3Com, and Solidworks. Fred's corporate experience covers creative and design management positions at Digital Equipment Corporation, Data General, and Data Terminal Systems.
JOHN NERO Vice President, Public Relations and Integrated Services
John works with clients to integrate public relations strategies with print and new media marketing campaigns. He brings more than 20 years of public communications, writing, and marketing experience to the agency.
John previously served as vice president in the technology practice of Creamer Dickson Basford, a national, full-service public relations agency. He also has managed account groups at Brodeur & Partners, GR Public Relations, and SBN Communications. John has directed integrated campaigns for AMCI, Chesapeake Decision Sciences, Computer Task Group, Comtex Information Systems, Digital Equipment Corporation, Elcom Systems, Foxboro, JPS Elastomerics, MainLan, Outreach Technologies, Racal, Remstar International, TSCentral, and Vital Network Services. He holds a bachelor's degree in sociology from the University of Connecticut and a master's degree in education from the University of Rhode Island. John is the author of College Degrees for Adults, (Beacon Press), and numerous feature articles for regional business newspapers.
LUBNA AGHA Senior Art Director
Lubna is responsible for graphic design and art direction on corporate identity, advertising, collateral, and Web site projects.
Lubna joined Tiziani Whitmyre from Polaroid Corporation, Weymouth, Mass., where she was an art director and senior graphic designer. Her achievements include graphic design and direction of all consumer packaging and collateral for all Polaroid's digital projects. She was also founding principal of Imagemaker Studios, a California design studio serving Silicon Valley clients such as Intel and Fujitsu. She started her career as an art director with the Herald Magazine, Karachi, Pakistan. Using her strength in concept development, she has rendered design solutions and visual language for major product lines for the U.S. and global markets. She has vast experience in the area of packaging and collateral.
Lubna is an internationally exhibited artist with more than 40 shows in California, Kobe, London, Geneva, Paris, and Karachi.
SCOTT SEGEL Controller
As chief financial executive, Scott is responsible for accounting, cash management, business planning, and employee benefit program administration.
He joined Tiziani Whitmyre from Amold Worldwide, Boston, where he was senior corporate accountant reporting to the communication company's chief financial officer. Scott also served as controller at Woolfe Associates, Boston, from 1989 to 2000, providing senior financial leadership for the rapidly growing sports marketing firm.
He has held accounting positions at Stone & Webster Engineering Company and S. Rothman & Company. Scott received a bachelor of business administration degree in finance from the University of Massachusetts.
