Numatics Express Rapid Shipping Program Now Includes Valves and Manifold Assemblies

NOVI, MICHIGAN, U.S.A., August 17, 2010ASCO Numatics, the world’s leading manufacturer of comprehensive fluid automation, flow control, and pneumatics solutions, announced today a major expansion of its Numatics Express shipping program to include the popular 2000 Series (2002, 2005, 2012, 2035), Mark3, 8 and 15 Series, L Series (L1,L2) valve platforms, and SH Series linear slides. In addition to cylinders, the company now guarantees 2-day shipment of linear slides, pneumatic valves, regulators, and mountings, and 3-day shipment of fully tested and assembled valve manifolds.

“With our rapid assemble-to-order capability, Numatics now offers the broadest line of pneumatic products and the fastest lead times of any quick-ship program in the industry,” said Robert W. Kemple, Jr., executive vice president, sales and marketing - Americas, ASCO Numatics. “Unlike other accelerated shipment offerings, Numatics Express gives customers the choice of more than 1,000 cylinders, linear slides, valves, regulators, and manifold assemblies with millions of available configurations —all for shipment within 2 and 3 days.”

Numatics Express products can be ordered and configured in minutes using Numatics’ online catalog and dynamic product modeling tool. Manifold assemblies come with up to eight stations plus valves and regulators. They are available with Sub D, Terminal Strip, and Fieldbus G2-2 (DeviceNet and Ethernet IP) electrical interfaces.

“With Numatics Express, customers can reduce the cycle times required to develop and build their equipment or make last minute engineering changes without disrupting project schedules,” said Kemple. “In addition, maintenance managers benefit from fast part replacement, reduced MRO inventory, and greater asset availability.”
The Numatics Express rapid-ship program is only available to U.S. customers. Order quantities are limited to 10 individual valves or regulators and 5 assembled manifolds.

“Only Numatics Express can offer the combination of easy ordering and configuration, exceptional performance and durability, and almost immediate shipment to customers across such a broad product line,” Kemple said.

ASCO Modular Gas Safety Shut-Off Valves Introduced

asco-num-01FLORHAM PARK, NEW JERSEY, February 18, 2010 – ASCO Numatics, the world’s leading manufacturer of comprehensive fluid automation, flow control, and pneumatics solutions, today introduced a new family of ASCO modular gas safety shut-off valves with a compact double valve footprint and the industry’s highest flow rates. The valves are ideal for boilers, furnaces, ovens, heating equipment, gas generators, and kilns used in commercial and industrial applications.

“OEM design engineers can downsize their fuel trains by connecting two of our safety shut-off valves for an exceptionally small double valve footprint,” said Robert Kemple, executive vice president, sales and marketing, ASCO Numatics-Americas. “In addition, the valve’s very low pressure drop and extremely high flow capacity provide greater performance even in locations with low gas supply pressure.”

ASCO’s modular gas safety shut-off valves are available in two product families. The 8214(200) Series two-way normally closed solenoid valves can be used for fuel gases up to 5 psi. The V710(B)/AH(E) Series two-way normally closed electro-hydraulic actuated valves can be used with fuel gases up to 15 psi. This series is available with fast- and slow-opening constructions. Both product families come in 3/4’’ to 3’’ pipe sizes and have aluminum body constructions with pressure taps up and downstream.

“ASCO employed state-of-the-art Computational Fluid Dynamic modeling and Finite Element Analysis to optimize the valves’ geometry,” said Kemple. “This gives the valves their exceptional efficiency in a package with high flow, small envelope dimensions, and compact, joinable construction. Now OEMs can design their products for space restrictive applications, and reduce customer installation and maintenance costs,” he said.

The 8214, V710, and AH Series valves can be purchased from ASCO distributors or directly from the company. Most products are available through either the ASCO Today Guaranteed Same-Day Shipping Program or the ASCO 5-Day Program. For more information, contact ASCO at 800-972-ASCO, by e-mail at info-valve@asco.com, or visit www.ascovalve.com.
