Universities, Colleges Can Avoid Costly Tier II Compliance Fines & Audits with Help of New Tier II Express Service

Needham, Mass. -February 17, 2009 – Many colleges and universities are required by law to submit a Tier II report, a report used to identify the nature and amount of hazardous materials the institution uses or stores onsite, to state and local authorities by March 1st of each year. Failure to comply with these rules can result in fines, civil actions, or a targeted audit. Tier II Express, a service offered by Environmental Health & Engineering Inc.   • EH&E performing data analysis and calculations for the filing and providing the client with spreadsheets including explanations of calculations in easy to read formats for future use.
  • EH&E filing electronically with the state and local agencies, which includes writing the required submittal letters for the State Emergency Response Coordinator (SERC), the Local Emergency Planning Coordinator (LEPC0 and/or the local fire department, if applicable.

White Paper Shows How Universities Can Develop a Successful Climate Action Plan

Needham, Massachusetts – December 16, 2008 – In the absence of nation-wide greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction regulations, universities are on the forefront of the issue. Many dedicated to mitigating GHG emissions on their own campuses are initiating their efforts with the creation of a Climate Action Plan (CAP) to serve as the cornerstone of their commitment.

EH&E Expands Campus Sustainability in Higher Education Services; Adds New Director, Formerly of Harvard’s Green Campus Initiative

New “Pathways to Campus Sustainability” Webinars Tackle “Green” Challenges Facing Colleges, Universities

Needham, Mass. – September 3, 2008 — A series of webinars aimed at uncovering solutions for the challenges facing colleges and universities in meeting campus sustainability goal is planned by EH&E Inc, a leading environmental engineering and consulting firm on green initiatives in higher education.

Retro-Commissioning Is First Step In Campus Sustainability Plan; White Paper Provides Details

Needham, Mass. – July 10, 2008 – Retro-Commissioning, as the first step in a campus sustainability strategy, can reduce energy use in college and university buildings by 10% or more, making it an essential ingredient for meeting greenhouse gas reduction goals.
