ASCO Numatics Announces 2014 Industrial Automation Engineering Scholarship Winners

FLORHAM PARK, NEW JERSEY, USA, November 5, 2014 – ASCO Numatics, the world’s leading manufacturer of comprehensive fluid automation, flow control, and pneumatics solutions, announced the recipients of the 2014 ASCO Numatics Industrial Automation Engineering Scholarship.

The recipients, Nicholas Aerni of Taylor Mill, KY, a senior at The University of Kentucky in Lexington, KY, and Kaitlyn A. Martin of Baytown, TX, a senior at the Colorado School of Mines in Golden, CO; were each awarded a $5,000 scholarship from ASCO Numatics towards their Bachelor’s program degrees in electrical/computer engineering and mechanical engineering.

ASCO Numatics will further support the winners’ studies with an additional $1,000 grant to the engineering departments at each of their universities.

“These students represent the next-generation of the engineering industry,” said Robert W. ASCO Numatics announced the scholarship winners at PMMI’s annual Amazing Packaging Race at PACK EXPO 2014 in Chicago. The two students were guests at the Expo, courtesy of ASCO Numatics. Sponsored by ASCO Numatics, the Amazing Packaging Race is a fun and educational event that pits teams of packaging students, from programs around the country, against each other in a race to gather points by completing tasks at specific PACK EXPO booths. ASCO Numatics’ sponsorship of the race helps support the PMMI Education and Training Foundation, which provides scholarships to packaging students from PMMI partner schools.

The ASCO Numatics Industrial Automation Engineering Scholarship program, now in its seventh year, has awarded a total of $70,000 in merit-based scholarships to 14 students, based on their potential for leadership and for making a significant contribution to the industrial automation engineering profession, particularly as it relates to the application of fluid control and fluid power technologies. March 31st is Deadline to Apply for ASCO Numatics Industrial Automation Engineering Scholarships

FLORHAM PARK, NEW JERSEY, USA — March 5, 2014 — March 31st is the deadline for U.S. students pursuing a degree in engineering to apply to the 2014 ASCO Numatics Industrial Automation Engineering Scholarship program, sponsored by ASCO Numatics, the world’s leading manufacturer of comprehensive fluid automation, flow control, and pneumatics solutions.

ASCO Numatics will award two $5,000 scholarships to U.S. engineering students, provide $1,000 grants to their college’s engineering departments, and host the students at “The Amazing Packaging Race” at PACK EXPO International in Chicago in November.

Candidates must also maintain at least a 3.2 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale, and be a U.S. citizen or legal U.S. resident. The deadline to apply is March 31, 2014. Over the past 7 years, ASCO Numatics has awarded $60,000 in scholarships to 12 students based on their potential for leadership and for making a significant contribution to the industrial automation engineering profession. ASCO Numatics Announces 2013 Industrial Automation Engineering Scholarships

FLORHAM PARK, NEW JERSEY, USA – April 2, 2013 – ASCO Numatics, the world’s leading manufacturer of comprehensive fluid automation, flow control, and pneumatics solutions, today announced it has begun accepting applications for its 2013/2014 ASCO Numatics Industrial Automation Engineering Scholarship program. Under the program, ASCO Numatics will award two $5,000 scholarships to U.S. engineering students, provide two $1,000 grants to the engineering departments of the colleges at which the winners are enrolled, and host the two winners as all-expense paid guests at The Amazing Packaging Race at PACK EXPO International 2013 on Sept. 25, 2013, in Las Vegas.

Since its inception in 2008, the ASCO Numatics scholarship program has awarded a total of $50,000 in scholarships to 10 students pursuing careers in industrial automation-related disciplines, and provided a total of $10,000 in grants to eight schools of engineering.

“The ASCO Numatics scholarship helped me pay for my last semester’s tuition and receive my degree in mechanical engineering from Purdue University. It has encouraged me to continue to strive for excellence as I start my career in manufacturing,” said Kelsey Johnson, recipient of a scholarship from ASCO Numatics in 2012.

Brad Perry, now an engineer at The Boeing Company, said receiving the ASCO Numatics scholarship in 2008 impacted him as both an academic and professional. “The scholarship further led me down the path to make a difference, push the limits of technology, continue to provide quality products, and push myself to difficult but attainable goals.”
