FURNITURE.COM – Creating Continental Awareness for a Major B2C e-tailer

Furntiture.com is an innovative company enabling shoppers to efficiently and enjoyably buy furniture online – from their homes and at their leisure, with providing thousands of options of quality merchandise at their fingertips.

Tiziani Whitmyre's consumer public relations efforts were to position Furniture.com as more than the Iternet's premier home furnishings shopping site but also show consumers they could use the company's website as a resource for home decorating information, advice and interactive tools.

To achieve maximum-exposure to potential Furniture.com customers, we created editorial opportunities with editors, writers and producers in print, broadcast, cable and online media in both the U.S. and in Canada.

We successfully found and placed opportunities ranging from commenting on new design trends in the Baltimore Sun, to providing tips on the blending of “his” and “hers” styles on the MSN and HGTV webportals and were able to showcase new living and dining room furniture on the Hometime television series.

Through our work which generated publishing print placements totaling some 35 million in circulation – plus Internet placements and viewings – we have succeeded in securing Furniture.com's position as the far and away #1 household name in online furniture retailing throughout all of North America.
